Applying from Saskatchewan
Early Conditional |
 |
|
|
Students who are currently in grade 12 may apply for early
conditional admission to university that will allow them to get
registered in classes in May of their grade 12 year and prepare
for their entry to university. It is important to note that this
is a 2 step process. Step 1 outlines the requirements for early
conditional admission to the university that are the same for
all faculties. These requirements may be at either the grade 11
or 12 level as outlined below. Step 2 outlines the grade 12
subjects that a student will need to have for final admission to
their faculty of choice. A student must indicate on their
application that they have already completed these
faculty-specific grade 12 courses or will be taking them
during their grade 12 year (or in summer school).

- As part of the selection process, the Faculty of Education requires the final
grades from the first semester of 30-level to be
included on the high school transcript. The application form, fee,
supporting documents and teacher profile must be submitted by March
15th.
An Early Conditional average will be calculated as follows:

- One of Math 20, Math A30, Math B30, or Math C30.
- One course from list A (20- or 30-level)
- One course from list B (20- or 30-level)
- One further elective from A or B (20- or 30-level)
a. Maximum of 2 math courses to be used

(An average of 65% is required by most faculties,
Engineering is 70% and Education is competitive.)
The Admissions Office will check to ensure that the applicant is registered
in the appropriate 30-level courses needed for final admission.
Admitted students will receive information outlining the requirements
for final admission with the letter granting early conditional admission.
| Step 2: |
 |
- Final admission will be calculated using faculty specific
admission subjects. Final official high school transcripts should be submitted
to the Admissions Office by August 1st.
- If the final average does not meet University admission requirements,
the applicant’s conditional admission will be revoked and he/she
will be withdrawn from courses.
