Electrical Outlet

General rule for maximum loading: A 15 amp outlet will provide sufficient power for one block heater AND one car warmer.

Overloading a circuit leaves all outlets on that circuit without electricity. For open search lots please take note of the post number and notify Parking Services or the Work Control Center (585-4039) if an outlet is not functioning.

IPLC’s (Intelligent Parking Lot Controller)

These are the units that are attached to your electrical outlets.

These units have two lights, a green and a red.

A flashing green light means that the receptacle has power present.

If you plugin and the light changes to solid green it means that you are within the wattage limits of the device and there are no wiring errors in your vehicle.  So power is getting to your vehicle.

A flashing red light, means that no power is getting to your vehicle.  You have exceeded the wattage limits or may have a short circuit in YOUR wiring.

A solid red light means that no power is getting to your vehicle.  You have exceeded the wattage limits or the device may be faulty.

In the interest of personal safety, and to reduce the possibility of damage to your vehicle, it is recommended that a three-prong extension cord be used.

The University does not assume any responsibility for damage, expense or inconvenience caused by interrupted power supply to any car heater outlet.

Snow Removal

If necessary P&TS may ask vehicles to be moved in order to facilitate efficient snow removal.

Additional Permits (Electrified Parking)

Duplicate permits may be obtained for additional vehicles for a cash fee equaling one month's stall fee plus applicable taxes. If a holder of a duplicate permit(s) has more than one vehicle on Campus at any given time, the additional vehicle(s) must be parked as per "Visitors" parking instructions.

Replacement of Permits

No charge will be made for replacement of a permit if the original, or enough of it to permit identification, is presented to P&TS.

No charge will be made for replacement of a stolen permit if a P&TS Stolen Report is completed including the required City of Regina Police file number.

Waitlists

Waitlist priority is determined using the date the person requested their name to be placed on the list.

The information required when phoning P&TS is your name, phone number and the lot number desired.

Permit Renewal

On-line web renewals start in April of every year.  Please watch for emails or check this site for start date notification.

If you have changed departments or locations since your last renewal please contact us with the correct address.

If you are canceling, please let us know so that those on the waitlists may move.  As well if you are a permanent employee on payroll deductions, deductions will continue into the new Fiscal year until we have received written notification that you are cancelling.

A reminder that current license plates must be registered with P&TS for the permit to be valid.

Cancellation of Parking

The parking permit must be returned to P&TS as well as written and/or verbal notification provided to P&TS. The customer’s parking privileges have not been cancelled and payment is required if the latter is not done.

Permit holders returning permits prior to the 3rd business day of the month will not be charged for that month.
