Dr. Brian H. Campbell Award in Distance Learning
The University of Regina has a scholarship designed specifically for students who register in nine credit hours in online courses, LIVE-streamed courses or courses at Regional Colleges across the province.
The Dr. Brian H. Campbell Award in Distance Learning
The Dr. Brian H. Campbell Award in Distance Learning was established through generous donations to the University of Regina by family and friends of Brian Campbell. Brian was an integral part of the creation of the Technology-Enhanced Learning Environment in Saskatchewan. He was a lifelong learner, researcher and inspiring educator.
Brian received the Canadian Association of University Continuing Education 2008 Graduate Research Award and was an associate member of the Faculty of Education as well as being a kind and supportive mentor. This award will ensure that Brian’s memory continues to touch the lives of U of R students.

Criteria for Students Entering University
The student:
- is pursuing undergraduate studies in a degree, diploma or certificate program
- is registered and remains registered in a minimum of 9 credit hours of Distance Learning Courses* in the semester the award is presented
Criteria for Students Continuing Their Studies
The students:
- are pursuing undergraduate studies in a degree, diploma or certificate program
- are registered and remains registered in a minimum of 9 credit hours of Distance Learning Courses* in the semester the award is presented
- has completed a minimum of 15 credit hours at the University of Regina
- has attained a minimum undergraduate grade point average (UGPA) of 75%
- has successfully completed at least three University of Regina Distance Learning Courses*
Note: Preference will be given to students studying at an off-campus location.
*Distance Learning Courses include:
- LIVE-streamed
- Online
- Face-to-face at a college outside Regina or Saskatoon
