Denise's Story - Project Management
The Project Management Certificate course offered by the University of Regina’s Centre for Continuing Education provided me with the working knowledge and tools to integrate project management fundamentals into my daily work activities. This Certificate course has proved to be relevant across both my professional and personal life. This was my first exposure back into a classroom environment since I graduated from University twelve years ago. The classroom setting, participants and instructors all provided for an invaluable learning experience. My professional and personal network has also expanded throughout the duration of this course; providing me with a new set of working professionals that I maybe would have not otherwise crossed paths with.
My favorite aspect of the course was the structure that is outlined and taught to execute a successful project. I have already integrated pieces of each class into my projects at work, and will continue to move towards a more formal project management planning process; which otherwise was done off the side of my desk with no official planning structure or wrap-up components involved.
No matter what industry you are in, you will walk away from this Certificate program with relevant, useful and executable steps for projects of all size, shape and form. I look forward to taking future courses at the U of R and will continue to build upon and add to my knowledge base.
