When you have submitted your application for graduation,
your faculty or college reviews your file to ensure that you will be eligible
to graduate when you expect to. If there are any problems, your faculty
or college will contact you.
To ensure that you do not have an outstanding account that will prevent you from receiving your diploma, , make sure you check your own account at UR Self-Service. Also, make sure your mailing address is up-to-date and correct.
Your faculty or college now notes on your record that you have applied to graduate, and your progress in your remaining courses is monitored. Assuming you complete all the courses successfully and maintain the PGPA you need to graduate, you will next be approved for graduation by your faculty, which will also determine at this stage whether or not you have earned any special mentions such as Distinction. Once your faculty has approved your program as complete, they recommend your name to the University of Regina Executive of Council for formal approval.
This is the final stage in the approval process. Executive of Council meets monthly from September to June, except in December.
After Executive of Council has approved your graduation, the Chancellor confers your credential by signing the lists of graduands. Your degree, diploma, or certificate now appears on your official transcript.
