|
Attempted 24 credit hours or more: must have a minimum UGPA of 60% on all post-secondary courses attempted.
Attempted fewer than 24 credit hours: Admission based on the high school admission requirements.
BA in Resource & Environmental Studies: must be a graduate of the SIAST Resource & Environmental Law Diploma.

- Economics Major: Math B30 or equivalent required
- Bachelor of Human Justice: 65% UGPA on the last 5 years of post-secondary studies
- Certificate in French as a Second Language placement test required and place at the FR 113 level and reach the Intermediate Low level on the TCOF
- Economics and Business Administration: must complete at least two courses in Economics with a minimum GPA of 60% before being permitted to declare this major

Fewer than 15 credit hours & graduated from high school: Admitted to the Qualifying Program based on final high school criteria with a 65% average or higher.
Completed 15 credit hours or more with a UGPA of 65% or higher: Accepted to the Qualifying Program.

Must have completed the qualifying program with the minimum required PGPA on all courses that fit the program (U of R or FN Univ).
Program admission averages are reviewed and set annually by the Faculty.

EDUCATION
|
Bachelor of Education After Degree (BEAD): Must have an approved first degree with a minimum UGPA of 65%.
BEAD Elementary and the BEAD NTEP must have a minimum of 39 credit hours in teaching areas supportive of provincial/territorial curricula. It is recommended that students have three provincial curricula areas (9 credit hours of senior courses). Applicants to the BEAD Secondary must have a major in their first degree in a teaching area with a minimum major GPA of 70%.

NORTEP students require a UGPA of 60% to qualify for transfer.
Teacher Education Application and Profile required
BEAD program: If you have not been awarded your degree at the time of application, you must provide confirmation from the respective institution prior to starting the BEAD program.
Secondary BEAD Major: at least 24 credit hours of approved courses in a provincial curricula area.
Secondary BEAD Minor: 18 credit hours of approved courses in a provincial curricula area

Applicants to the Bachelor of Journalism program must have an undergraduate degree conferred no later than the Spring Convocation preceding admission.

KINESIOLOGY AND HEALTH STUDIES
|
Less than 15 credit hours: High school admission criteria with a minimum 65% average
15 credits or more and meets high school admission requirements: high school requirements with a minimum 65% and have a minimum 60% GPA on all post-secondary courses attempted.
15 credit hours or more and does not meet high school requirements: Minimum GPA of 60% will be accepted with conditions on registration
Mature Admission
|
Students who have failed more than 15 credit hours are not eligible for transfer to the Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies except with permission from the Office of the Associate Dean of Kinesiology.
Bachelor of Health Studies:
- Must complete the Pre-Health Studies credit hours with a minimum average of 65%
- Can apply through the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies or through the First Nations University of Canada

SCIENCE
|
Less than 15 credit hours:
Complete 15 credit hours or more:
- UGPA of 60% on all post-secondary courses attempted
- Minimum of 60% in each of the courses required to transfer
- Completion of ENGL 100; AMTH 002 and 003; one of astronomy, biology, chemistry, geology, or physics

Qualifying program:
BSW Degree Program:
- completed at least 30 credit hours of prescribed university courses
- minimum GPA of 65% on all post-secondary courses attempted

All applicants are first considered for the qualifying program. The application to the BSW program is a second admission process following the completion of required courses.
BSW degree program: Personal statement; essay on social issues question; interview.
