Located in Regina, Saskatchewan – the sunniest capital in Canada, the University of Regina is situated on Wascana Centre, the largest urban park in North America. Regina is a hub of activity with many cultural, community and recreational events and boasts one of the strongest economies in Canada – which provides many opportunities for our students and graduates.
The University offers nearly 200 undergraduate and graduate programs that provide a balance of scholarship, research and public service. Specialized programs include journalism, social work, media production and studies, actuarial science, petroleum engineering – the largest in the country, fine arts, software systems, education, police studies, health studies, public policy and business administration.
The University of Regina established the first cooperative education program in western Canada and currently provides co-op opportunities in more than 50 areas of study including liberal arts, business administration, engineering and science. Students are provided with several learning opportunities through the University of Regina main campus or one of the three federated colleges; First Nations University of Canada, Luther College and Campion College. Federated colleges provide students with opportunities to study liberal arts, fine arts or sciences in a smaller community environment.
The University of Regina boasts thirteen research centres and institutes that enhance the teaching and research opportunities available on campus. Innovation Place Regina, located adjacent to the main campus, has produced synergies and research partnerships with industry and government. The University-Industry Liaison Office, established through a joint venture with the City of Regina and the University, enables commercialization of research through technology transfer.
