ADMINISTRATION
ADMINISTRATION STUDENTS' SOCIETY AND THE FACULTY OF ADMINISTRATION AWARD
Value: $500
Number: Minimum one-maximum three awards depending upon the amount of funds available each year. The first award will be made to a student who has completed at least 90 credit hours. The second award to a student who has completed 60-89 credit hours and the third award to a student who has completed 30-59 credit hours.
Eligibility: Awarded to a student in the Faculty of Administration who is registered in at least 12 credit hours in the Winter semester or a Co-op student registered in at least 12 credit hours in the following academic study term. Recipients will be selected on the basis of university involvement (weighted 50%), academic performance (weighted 25%), community involvement (weighted 25%) and a minimum overall weighted percentage average of at least 70%.
Conditions: Awarded annually in the Winter semester.
Donor: Administration Students' Society and the Faculty of Administration.
Apply: Application forms available from the Faculty of Administration or the Financial Aid Office. Application forms are to be submitted to the Faculty of Administration and to be accompanied by a resume outlining qualifications specific to the award criteria.

DR. LLOYD BARBER SCHOLARSHIP
Value: A personal computer package purchased through the University of Regina Bookstore valued at approximately $3,500.

Eligibility: Awarded to an aboriginal student who has successfully completed the first two academic years of an Administration program at the University of Regina, has demonstrated a commitment to pursuing a degree in public or private sector administration. The student must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours in the Fall semester in which the scholarship is awarded with preference given to those enrolled in 15 credit hours, and has maintained an average of 70% in the previous semester. Recipients will be selected on the basis of leadership potential, academic accomplishments, degree of participation in campus and student affairs, and community involvement.
Conditions: Awarded annually
Donor: The Dr. Lloyd Barber Scholarship Trust Fund established from the proceeds of an Alumni Association sponsored fundraising dinner in honour of Dr. Lloyd Barber, President of the University of Regina from 1976 to 1990.

JENNIFER AND MICHELLE BREHM MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP IN ADMINISTRATION
Value: $1,500.
Number: One
Eligibility: Awarded to a student who is a single custodial parent with one or more dependent children and who is entering the final year in a degree program in the Faculty of Administration. The applicant must be enrolled in a minimum of nine credit hours and a minimum program percentage average of 70% is required.
Conditions: Awarded annually. The recipient must also be enrolled in a minimum of nine credit hours in the Winter semester of study to be eligible to receive the second installment.
Donor: Established in 1998 on the basis of gifts from family and friends of the late Jennifer and Michelle Brehm.
Apply: Application forms are available from the Faculty of Administration. Applications are to be submitted to the Student Program Counseling Office, Faculty of Administration.

INTERNATIONAL PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION - CANADA, SASKATCHEWAN PRIZE
Value: $200
Number: One
Eligibility: Awarded to a student registered in the Faculty of Administration who has achieved the highest mark in ADMN 353, Techniques of Human Resources Administration, in the past year and has a minimum weighted percentage average of 75%. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by the highest combined average of ADMN 250, Personnel Administration and Industrial Relations, and ADMN 353. Should the above criteria fail to select a single winner, overall average in the administration program will be used.
Conditions: Awarded annually at the end of the Winter semester.

CERTIFIED GENERAL ACCOUNTANTS ASSOCIATION PRIZE
Value: $500
Number: One
Eligibility: Awarded to the student who achieves the highest average mark in ADMN 385 - Intermediate Financial Accounting I, ADMN 387 - Intermediate Financial Accounting II, and ADMN 388 - Cost Accounting. These three courses are eligible for exemption from Financial Accounting 2, Financial Accounting 3, and Management Accounting 1 offered by the Certified General Accountants Association.
Conditions: Awarded annually. Students are not eligible to receive the award more than once.

CERTIFIED MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANTS PRIZE
Value: $1,000 credit towards CMA Program
Number: One for each convocation.
Eligibility: Awarded to the Bachelor of Administration graduate who attains the highest weighted percent average (WPA), who has a minimum WPA of 75%, and who is pursuing a CMA designation in Saskatchewan.
Conditions: Awarded annually.

Eligibility: Awarded to the student with the highest mark in Administration 488 (Advanced Managerial Accounting) pursuing a CMA designation in Saskatchewan.

CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS OF SASKATCHEWAN SCHOLARSHIP

Number: One
Eligibility: Awarded to a graduating student who has demonstrated an intent to seek admission to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan by accepting an offer of employment from an approved practicing office in Saskatchewan. The award will be based on the highest weighted percentage average. Student must have maintained a minimum 75% average.
Conditions: Awarded annually in May.

DELOITTE & TOUCHE ACCOUNTING PRIZES

Number: Two
Eligibility: Awarded to full-time students in the Faculty of Administration with the highest weighted percentage average (minimum 75%) who have completed ADMN 285, 288, 385, 387, and one other accounting course. The students must have been registered in the previous Fall and Winter semesters and have completed a minimum of 75 and a maximum of 105 credit hours.

Eligibility: Awarded to a student in the Faculty of Administration who has completed not less than 84 and not more than 96 credit hours in studies for the Bachelor of Administration degree and has the highest weighted percentage average in ADMN 285, 288, and any three other accounting courses. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by overall weighted percentage average in the administration program.

FACULTY OF ADMINISTRATION ABORIGINAL STUDENT AWARD

Eligibility: Awarded to an aboriginal student entering the Faculty of Administration's degree program in the Fall semester. The award will be made to the student who has the highest weighted percentage average on those classes which can be applied to the Bachelor of Administration degree.

FINANCIAL EXECUTIVE INSTITUTE SCHOLARSHIPS

Eligibility: Preference to one aboriginal student and to one non-aboriginal student who has successfully completed at least 75 but not more than 105 credit hours of the Bachelor of Administration program at the University of Regina. The awards will be given to applicants with an average of at least 70% in Administration 285, 288 and 290. In addition students should have demonstrated leadership in extra-curricular activities.

Eligibility: Awarded to a student entering the fourth year in the Faculty of Administration, with a specialization in Marketing and/or Finance. The successful applicant must have a minimum 75% average and have completed at least 90 credit hours. A major in Marketing and/or Finance will be determined when a student has completed two 400 level Marketing and/or Finance courses. The average of these two courses and overall weighted percentage average will be considered.

Eligibility: Awarded to an outstanding student entering the Accounting Fellowship Program. The award will be made for the Fall semester to a student who is registered for full time studies (15 credit hours) in the Fall semester. Students may hold this award in conjunction with any other University scholarship.

TEAL LOWERY SCHOLARSHIP
Value: $3,500

Eligibility: Awarded to an aboriginal student who has successfully completed the pre-administration year and has transferred into the Faculty of Administration degree program. The scholarship will be based on program weighted percentage average to date.
Conditions: Awarded annually and paid in two equal installments. To receive the first installment the recipient must be registered in at least 9 credit hours in the Fall semester. To receive the second installment the recipient must have successfully completed 9 credit hours in the Fall semester with an average of at least 65% and be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours in the Winter semester.
Donor: Donations from family and friends in memory of the late Teal Lowery who was a professor in the Faculty of Administration and University Secretary from 1973 until his death in August of 1986.

The recipient cannot hold a previous degree. Further, the student must register in at least 12 hours of study in the semester following admission.

Eligibility: Awarded to a student in the Faculty of Administration who has completed at least 60 and not more than 90 credit hours in the administration program and has a minimum weighted percentage average of 75%. Preference will be given to students with an interest in the accounting profession and/or management consulting with special emphasis on the integration of accounting, finance, and computer science. Factors such as leadership, resourcefulness, and extra-curricular activities will play an important part in the selection.

Eligibility: Awarded to a student of Native ancestry, enrolled for full time studies (12 credit hours minimum), entering the third or fourth year of study in the Faculty of Administration, with a specialization in Finance. A minimum weighted percentage average of 75% is required. When these requirements are met, the recipient will be selected on the basis of demonstrated financial need.

Value: This scholarship waives fees towards the Society's educational program.
Number: Two; one in the Spring and one in the Fall
Eligibility: Available to students graduating from a university in Saskatchewan with distinction in business, to attract very successful students who wish to pursue a professional accounting designation.

JOHN GARRETT SUMMER PRIZE
Value: $50
Number: One
Eligibility: Awarded to a third-year student who has completed not less than 64 credit hours and not more than 96 credit hours in studies for the Bachelor of Administration degree, and who has demonstrated his or her public speaking ability by illustrating excellent oral communication skills and creative talents.
Conditions: Awarded annually. The winner will be selected by a panel of ten judges which includes five appointed by the Dean's Office and five appointed by the Administration Society.
Donor: Established by Mrs. Margaret W. Summer, in honour of the memory of her late husband, John Garrett Summer.
Apply: Candidates will be required to make an oral presentation demonstrating their public speaking ability. The specific regulations and topic areas for the oral presentation will be decided year by year. For further information, contact the Faculty of Administration.
