Eligibility: Awarded to a full-time student (enrolled in 15 credit hours) entering first year of an undergraduate English program in the Faculty of Education. The scholarship will alternate each year between Elementary and Secondary. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of University of Regina Admission average and must first be applied toward tuition fees for the Fall semester.
Conditions: Awarded annually in the Fall semester.

Eligibility: The scholarship will be based on academic achievement in high school, as well as participation in, contributions, and aptitude for activities related to society's institutions of government and public service. Applicants will have participated in activities such as, but not limited to, student government, debating, youth parliaments, United Nations youth forums, etc. Applicants must be full-time students beginning the first year in a direct entry program with no restriction as to college or course of study. Applicants must be Saskatchewan residents.

Eligibility: This scholarship will be awarded to a Saskatchewan student (who has been a resident of Saskatchewan for at least one year), registered in at least 15 credit hours in the Programme du Baccalaureat en education francaise in the semester immediately following grade 12 graduation. A minimum admission average of 75% is required. The recipients of this scholarship will be selected on admission average (weighted 50%) and demonstrated interest and commitment towards French language and culture (weighted 50%)
Conditions: Awarded annually each fall.
Donor: This scholarship was established in 1999 by the Baccalaureat en education francaise program and the Institut de formation linguistique/Language Institute.
Apply: Applications will be available at the Language Institute. One letter of reference from the high school French teacher or a person from the Fransaskois community will be required. The letter of reference should support the applicant's interest and commitment towards French language and culture.

CAMECO CORPORATION NORTHERN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM![]()

Number: Three university scholarships; five technical school scholarships
Eligibility: Awarded to residents of Northern Saskatchewan on the basis of academic standing, community involvement, and demonstrated career interest related to some aspect of the mining industry. Applicants must have lived in Saskatchewan's north for at least five years immediately prior to applying. Students who normally reside in this region but are attending school in the south are also eligible. Recipients of other scholarships will not be eligible, but in such cases Cameco's scholarship will be reduced by the amount that the other award exceeds $1,000. Applicants must meet the entrance requirements of, and plan to attend, a university or technical institute in Saskatchewan, unless the desired program of study is not available in this province.
Conditions: The scholarship is renewable providing the student maintains at least a 75% academic average and is eligible to progress to the next year of a program which is acceptable to the selection committee.

Eligibility: Awarded to a female student entering her first year of an engineering program and is based on academic achievement and community leadership. The nominee must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada.
Conditions: Awarded annually. Payment of the scholarship is subject to written confirmation of enrolment in an accredited engineering program or educational institution. The recipient must be willing to act as a role model visiting local schools and assist the 1989 Canadian Engineering Memorial Foundation in promoting engineering, particularly to young women.

Eligibility: Available to full-time native (Inuit, Status Indian, Non-Status Indian, or Metis) students who are entering, or currently attending, university. Applicants must demonstrate serious interest in preparing for a career in the transportation industry. The transportation industry encompasses a wide range of occupations from nurses to engineers, from computer programmers to market analysts. Financial need is considered.
Conditions: Awarded annually. Recipients may receive an award for a maximum of four years or until a first degree is obtained, whichever comes first, but they must reapply each year.

Eligibility: Awarded to entrance or undergraduate students enrolled in an university degree program. To be eligible, students have to be Saskatchewan residents, be enrolled or about to enroll in full-time studies for a minimum of eight months at a recognized post-secondary institution in Saskatchewan (full-time as defined by the educational institution that the student is applying to). Applicants must be enrolled in a program related to: recreational and leisure studies; business administration; hospitality management; electronic or computer technology; communications. Preference will be given to awarding one of the university scholarships to a qualified student of aboriginal ancestry.
Conditions: Scholarship may be held concurrently with other financial rewards. Candidates must apply for the scholarship each year of study.

CENTENNIAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIP![]()

Eligibility: Awarded to a Saskatchewan high school graduate entering the first year of full time studies at the University of Regina upon successful completion of grade 12 with the highest academic standing (minimum 90% average) as of April 30 and certification from the principal. The Scholarship will be based on high school averages in the following eight subjects: English Language Arts A30 and B30 (Francais Fransaskois A30 or B30 or Francais Immersion 30 may be substituted for one of these); either Social Studies 30, or History 30, or Native Studies 30; one Math and one Science at either level 20 or 30; and three electives at level 30. The primary criterion will be the average; some consideration will be given to other factors. The recipient must normally be registered in 15 credit hours while holding this scholarship. A minimum Term GPA in the Fall semester or 75% is required for renewal of the scholarship for the Winter semester. Students certified as a UR Scholar are not eligible to receive this scholarship.

Eligibility: Open to children of alumni of the University of Regina, as defined by the Alumni Association constitution. Children of current University of Regina Alumni Association board members are not eligible. Applicants must be entering the first year of a degree program at the University of Regina. Applicants must be registered in a minimum of 15 credit hours (5 classes). Selection of the recipient will be based on both academic performance at high school (minimum early conditional admission average of 80%) and outstanding ability in an extra-curricular activity (for example: artistic, musical, or athletic activities, community involvement, and/or school activities). Academic performance will be based on first semester final marks and second semester April mid-term marks in semesterized high schools, and on April mid-term marks in full-year high schools. Academic performance and involvement in activities will be weighted equally.

Eligibility: Awarded to students enrolled in a first or second year Bachelor Degree program. Applicants must have a minimum 75% average in their program, be registered in a minimum of 9 credit hours and provide a copy of their transcripts from the University of Regina. First year students must provide high school transcripts from a Regina High School. Applicants must also write a brief essay outlining their community involvement and future academic and career intentions. Family members of the Mayor, City Councillors, City Manager, Senior Directors and Directors of the City of Regina, and employees and family members of the City of Regina's Public Affairs Department, will NOT be eligible for the City of Regina Henry Baker Scholarship Program.

COGEMA RESOURCES INC. SCHOLARSHIPS![]()

Eligibility: Candidates must qualify as "local Northern residents" in accordance with the definition outlined in the Surface Lease Agreement - candidates must have resided in the Northern Administration District for 10 years or half of their life, whichever is less. Applicants must qualify for entrance to a Saskatchewan university; and be applying for a university course, which in the opinion of the Cogema Selection Committee, would be of benefit to the North. Recipients must be willing to sign an agreement outlining the conditions of the scholarship.
Conditions: The scholarships will be paid to the recipients in eight equal installments during the academic year. Each university scholarship will be for the length of the course with a maximum of four academic years. Continuation of a university scholarship will depend upon the following: maintaining passing marks, attending the required number of courses to qualify for examinations, and notifying the company in writing on or before June 30 of each year as to the intention to continue the course the following year. Cogema Resources Inc. does not guarantee employment for recipients but will give preferential consideration to recipients for employment following the completion of their courses.

Applicant must have a minimum 80% high school average upon admission to the University of Regina.

Eligibility: Candidates must qualify as a Northerner in accordance with the Cogema Scholarship Committee definition of "Northerner," must qualify for entrance to a Saskatchewan university, and must be willing to sign an agreement as required by the Cogema Scholarship Committee concerning the conditions of the scholarship.
Conditions: Awarded annually with a duration of one academic year. The scholarship will be paid to the University firstly to cover the fees, secondly accommodation, and thirdly other items approved by the Cogema Scholarship Committee. The continuation of the scholarship will depend upon the student maintaining passing marks and attending the required number of courses to qualify for examinations.

Eligibility: Awarded to an entering student in the Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education, or B.A. Honours (Music Theory or Music History) programs on the basis of academic achievement and other skills. A high school grade average of 75% is necessary for the student to be considered. Depending on the program being entered, the student must either (1) audition, (2) present a research paper or (3) present a portfolio of his or her own works, according to the following scheme: 1) students entering the Bachelor of Music music history concentration and those entering the B.A. Honours program must submit a research paper; 2) students entering the Bachelor of Music degree in composition must submit a portfolio of their work; 3) students entering either the Bachelor of Music degree performance concentration or the Bachelor of Music Education degree program must audition.

Eligibility: Awarded to a student graduating from a Saskatchewan high school who must be registered in the Faculty of Science at the University of Regina. The student must meet the admission requirements of the Faculty of Science, must have maintained an average of at least 85% throughout grades 10, 11, and 12, and, except under unusual circumstances, must not have taken more than three years to graduate.

Eligibility: Candidates must be Canadian citizens or people who have lived in Canada for at least two years as permanent residents. Candidates must be disabled according to the following 1975 United Nations declaration: A disabled person is "any person unable to ensure himself or herself wholly or partly for the necessities of a normal individual and/or social life, as a result of a deficiency, either congenital or not, in his or her physical or mental capabilities." Candidates must be entering or currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in a Canadian post-secondary institution which is recognized by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC). Holders of an undergraduate degree are not eligible for the scholarship. Candidates must not be employees or franchisees or dependants of employees or franchisees of Imasco or any of its subsidiaries. Academic excellence and levels of motivation and maturity are considered.
Conditions: Awarded annually and may be renewed upon application. The holder of an Imasco Scholarship is eligible to apply in subsequent years provided he/she submits a new application and all pertaining documents. The applicant, in a final year of study and required to attend only one academic term before graduation, is eligible to apply for a $1,000 scholarship provided all other criteria are met. Students who re-apply for further awards will be considered in competition with all other applications. No student will receive the award for more than a total of four years.

Information on the applicant's contribution in promoting aboriginal women must be provided with the application.
b) The program of studies being followed must enhance the professional skills of the applicant to promote further development in the aboriginal community, specifically for aboriginal women.
