MEDIA PRODUCTION AND STUDIES
ACCESS COMMUNICATIONS/FRED WAGMAN SCHOLARSHIP IN FILM AND VIDEO
Value: $1,500

Eligibility: Awarded to an outstanding student entering third year of any program offered by the Department of Media Production and Studies. Students in the BFA (Film and Video Production) must have been accepted into this program in order to be eligible for consideration. The recipient must have a minimum overall weighted percentage average of 75%, and a minimum average of 80% in the major. In order to receive payment, the student must be registered in 12 credit hours or more in a semester.
Conditions: Awarded annually
Donor: This scholarship has been established by the Access Communications Board of Directors to honour Mr. Fred Wagman for his service to Access Communications and to the community. Established in 1999, it reflects Access Communications' commitment to the University of Regina.

JEAN OSER PRIZE IN FILM STUDIES

Number: One
Eligibility: For Film and Video third and fourth year students in the Department of Media Production and Studies leading to a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree or a Bachelor of Arts degree. Preference will be given to a student who has exceptional writing skills.
Conditions: Awarded annually
Donor: Department of Media Production and Studies in honour of Jean Oser, one of the leading members of the Saskatchewan film community, former Professor of the Department of Media Production and Studies, Professor Emeritus of the University of Regina, and recipient of the Lifetime Award for Excellence in the Arts from the Saskatchewan Arts Board.
Apply: Submission of essays to the Department of Media Production and Studies, University of Regina by January 15 for Fall courses and April 15 for Winter courses.
Deadline: January 15 and April 15
