UR Self-Service for Graduate Students

  1. Please go to the UR Self-Service webpage http://www.uregina.ca/compserv/postcard. If you are unable to log in contact the IT Support Centre at http://www.uregina.ca/compserv/ITSC/

  2. Please update when necessary your Personal Information to ensure that any mail/e-mail reaches you in a timely and correct manner. You are also encouraged to change your PIN on a regular basis.

  3. Review the Student Records menu to ensure your student program information is correct. Click on View Holds to certify that you will not be prevented from registration (i.e. owe money). If holds exist, contact the appropriate office. If no holds exist continue to plan your schedule for the upcoming terms.

  4. Your Current Registration and List of Courses may be checked. This will give you a record of your registrations to date. You can then use the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research Calendar or the web page to determine what are the outstanding requirements for program completion. Web registration does not prevent you from registering for courses that potentially will not count on your program as described in the calendar. You need to seek advanced permission to register for any course outside of the program.

  5. Click on Registration. All graduate students must register for a minimum of 3 credit or 3 billing hours in any semester they choose to register. Search for classes. The class catalogue is a list of all approved courses and their descriptions. The class schedule is a list of those courses that are being offered in the current semester. Click on underlined text to view schedule information.

  6. Many graduate students register in courses of variable credit and content. These are directed reading, selected topics, thesis or project research, practicum, and internship courses. Please ensure that you register in the correct number of hours as otherwise these courses default to the minimum number and may affect program completion or full time status. Students in an unpaid internship must complete a Workers' Compensation Agreement and submit it to the FGSR office.

  7. Your academic unit is responsible to have courses scheduled so please contact them if you have been advised a course will be offered and you cannot find it in the Course Schedule.

  8. After registration, review your information and check for news, deadline dates relating to tuition/fee payment or adding, dropping or withdrawing from courses (non-attendance does not constitute withdrawal).

  9. Click here for a list of Subject Codes.

If you have any problems, please contact the FGSR office at (306) 585-4161 or by e-mail at grad.studies@uregina.ca. If you are sending an e-mail, please include "Web Registration" in the Subject line or there may be a delay in responding to your inquiry.
