MEMBER UPDATE - MOVE TO SUN LIFE FINANCIAL
Effective July 1:
Your one Health and Dental policy number is 150240 and takes effect today.
Dental E-Claims: Dental offices with e-claim filing technology will be able to submit your claims directly to Sun Life. Remember to provide the new policy number to your dentist.
JULY 4:
Pay Direct Card: Your temporary pay direct card (contained in your Welcome Package from Sun Life Financial) can be used for your prescription purchases. Eligible prescriptions will automatically have the 80% co-insurance portion submitted to Sun Life Financial for payment.
Note: The card will not pay for spousal benefits, if he/she has prescription coverage.
As part of this move a significant amount of data was transferred; therefore, should you incur claiming problems, please contact the Sun Life Customer Care Centre at: 1-800-361-6212 Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET.
DURING JULY:
Pre-July 1 Extended Health Claims: Your Extended Health Claims incurred up to and including June 30 must be submitted to Saskatchewan Blue Cross (SBC) as soon as possible as they must be received by SBC by no later than July 31. Late claims cannot be accepted.
Health Spending Account (HSA) Claims: Payments for HSA claims have been temporarily suspended; however, you can submit paper claims to Sun Life for processing as soon as possible in August or you can submit your claim on line at www.mysunlife.ca/uregina after August 1.
Post June 30 Dental and Extended Health Claims: Claims incurred after June 30 can be submitted in paper form (claims forms have been provided in your Welcome Package from Sun Life). However as of August 1, you can submit your claim on line at www.mysunlife.ca/uregina, using the Sun Life e-claim process.
AUGUST 1:
Paperless claims processing is available on line at: www.mysunlife.ca/uregina.
Sun Life Welcome Packages were sent to members’ homes the week of June 18; however, if you have not received your package this week, please notify Human Resources (Pension and Benefits) at 306.585.4167 or 306.585.4808.
