The University has collective bargaining agreements in place covering the terms and conditions of employment for four employee bargaining units.
On behalf of the University, Employee Relations is responsible for administering and interpreting the collective agreements, conducting collective bargaining and providing advice and direction to management on the application of the agreements within the various operational units of the University.
CUPE 5791 (formerly CUPE 1975-01)
CUPE 5791 covers administrative, operational and library support employees, facility operations and security employees, and the trades, scientific and technical support employee groups.
CUPE 2419 covers students employed to provide teaching and research assistance within the University.
URFA - Academic and APT
The University of Regina Faculty Association represents both the Faculty bargaining unit (all academic ranks, instructors and sessional lecturers, laboratory instructors and librarians) and the Administrative, Professional and Technical (APT) bargaining unit.
