Chemical & Laboratory Safety Workshop

Prerequisite: Please complete the Online Training (via UR Courses: https://urcourses.uregina.ca) prior to attending the workshop. To enroll in the online portion of this course, register here: http://www.uregina.ca/hr/hse/safety-training/Email-Form.html
Topics/activities:
-Basic laboratory safety
-Proper selection of personal protective equipment
-Chemical spill clean-up
-Hands-on chemical storage exercise
-Fire Extinguisher Simulator practice
-WHMIS Certification Exam
Who should attend: This course is mandatory for all employees, (faculty and staff), undergraduate, graduate students, and volunteers who manage or work in a laboratory at the U of R.
Note: There will be an in-class WHMIS exam, so please complete the online training before attending this course.
