1. Question: Will my classroom include hyflex technology?

Answer: Yes, we have equipped all centrally controlled classrooms with web cameras, microphones and dual monitors. The following video will introduce you to these technologies: Hyflex Training Video

2. Question: The equipment I booked has broken, what should I do?

Answer: Please call 306-585-4476 for assistance. If the technician is unable to fix the problem, we will do everything we can to provide you with replacement equipment; however, due to high demand, this may not always be possible. If replacement equipment is not immediately available, we will get the equipment to you as soon as possible.

3. Question: Are you open during the noon hour and evenings?

Answer: The Equipment Room is always open during the noon hour. The Equipment Room is also open during the evenings 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM during the Fall and Winter semesters only.

4. Question: Can I book a Smart Cart an hour before my class begins?

Answer: Because Smart Carts are in high demand we suggest that you book 24 hours in advance. Due to limited supply, there is no guarantee that we can supply equipment to a room at the last minute. Please call 306-585-4476 as soon as you know what day you will need the equipment.

5. Question: Can I make equipment bookings during the evening with the night staff?

Answer: Equipment bookings by telephone must be placed between 8:15 AM and 4:30 PM. Please call our Equipment Room staff at 306-585-4476.  Night staff will not take equipment bookings. Alternatively, you may place your booking using our on-line booking forms. These forms may be found on the menu on the left-hand side of this page.

6. Question: Can I borrow a data projector and a laptop for 3 days?

Answer: No, due to the overwhelming demand for laptops and data projectors bookings are limited to 4 hour periods. Any data projector booking that exceeds 4 hours will be subject to a $40 fee. This fee is used to help offset the high cost of bulb replacement in these systems.

7. Question: I want to book equipment for the Education Building. Can it be delivered?

Answer: We deliver many classroom systems in the Education Building. We also provide other equipment, which must be picked up and dropped off at Ed 166 from 8:15 AM - 4:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM (Fall and Winter Semesters Only).

8. Question: What are your hours of operation?

Answer: We are open everyday from 8:15 AM - 4:30 PM and during the noon hour. In the Fall and Winter semesters only, we are also open from 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM.

9. Question: Where are you located?

Answer: The Equipment Room is in ED 166 - Map

10. Question: I booked equipment for a certain classroom, is it ok if I move the equipment to another classroom?

Answer: No, if the equipment was delivered to the classroom, please do not move the equipment. If you must move the equipment please contact 306-585-4476 and let them know where you will be moving the equipment.  If your booking is during the day time, you must return the equipment to the booked classroom by the designated end of the class as it may be booked immediately after. If the booking is for a night class, please call 306-585-4476 and ask the clerk where to leave the equipment.

11. Question: I booked equipment for semester delivery, but I don't need it on a certain day, what should I do?

Answer: Please call 306-585-4476 to let them know which day you do not need the equipment for, so that other students and teachers are able to use the equipment.

12. Question: How do I know whether or not my classroom is a smart classroom and what equipment it has to offer?

Answer: Please navigate to the top of this page and click on the link to our Smart Classroom Inventory, which includes pictures of each classroom and system.

13. Question: Are there rooms available for working with the equipment?

Answer: There are 2 screening rooms available for screening videos, working on presentations, and other various activities. To make a booking, contact us at 306-585-4476. For booking all other rooms, please contact Hospitality Services.

14. Question: Can I tell the delivery person that I need the time/day of my booking changed or add another booking?

Answer: No, our delivery staff do not have direct access to our booking system and are not able to take any bookings. Please call 306-585-4476 for all bookings or changes.
