Donna is available to meet with faculty to develop library instruction sessions. Today's information world is complex, and students often feel overwhelmed with the variety of resources available to them through the library. Instruction sessions provide information on effective search tips and techniques, and highlight resources that are geared to student assignments. Instruction sessions are normally held in the Faculty of Education computer labs, the Archer Library computer lab (6th Floor), or in your classroom for your convenience.

Donna invites input from faculty, staff and students in developing the library's collection of resources that support teaching and research. Faculty receive E-Notes, an electronic advertisement of new publications in their subject areas. Contact Donna regarding items of interest for the library collection.

Donna sends e-mail updates on new library materials and programs that may be of interest to faculty, staff and students, as well as current awareness materials in various subject areas. Donna also provides updates on any new database/journal trials, new DVD and multimedia resources, and significant additions to the library's growing collection of electronic books. E-books provide an alternative to placing resources on reserve at the Dr. John Archer Library's Borrowing Desk and are accessible to students via the Internet from on and off campus locations.
