U of R statement on Tentative Agreement
A tentative collective bargaining agreement has been reached between the
University of Regina, University of Saskatchewan and CUPE 1975. The
University of Regina is pleased that the new contract will meet the needs
of our employees and at the same time respect the requirement to keep post
secondary education affordable.
The contract allows the University of Regina to maintain its status as an employer of choice in Saskatchewan and will assist with future recruitment and retention initiatives. The contract provides for significant improvements to wages and benefits for CUPE employees including a new compensation model.
The bargaining teams are to be commended for their hard work and commitment to achieving a collective agreement.
