Chase has been at the University of Regina since 1984. He has served as a faculty member in the Department of English and was instrumental in the design, creation, and support of the Centre for Academic Technologies, of which he was founding director. A graduate of the University of Regina, he holds a doctorate from Glasgow University (Scotland) and a licentiate diploma from Trinity College, London.
