University of Saskatchewan
Dr. Daniel Gagnon, UofR Dean of Science,
chaired the meeting and led the
representatives from the six UofR Science
departments in the discussion with his
counterpart Dr. Peta Bonham-Smith, UofS Vice
Dean Science, and the representatives from
the six UofS Science departments. This was
the first face-to-face session to
investigate collaborative teaching ventures.
Both parties agreed to increase the joint
and shared deliveries of seminars and
graduate and undergraduate courses via
videoconferencing beginning in the fall
semester (2012-30). A review of these
initiatives will be conducted and included
as an agenda item at the next meeting
tentatively set for May 2013 at the
University of Saskatchewan.
