Geomodelling & GIS Research
The Geomodelling and GIS Research Laboratory, funded by Western Economic Diversification and the Faculty of Science, is a new facility that contains state-of-the-art equipment and software packages for Geomodelling & GIS applications in the Earth Sciences. The laboratory has UNIX, Apple and PC workstations. There are a wide variety of software packages including GoCad, BasinMod 1D and BasinMod 2D, MinPet, Fluid Flow and ArcView. Printing capabilities include Minolta QMS color laser printer and a Hewlett Packard Design Jet 5500 42 inch plotter for poster size applications.
