Mathematics and Statistics Fall 2023 Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Registration - Must be enrolled as a full-time or part time thesis based Masters or Ph.D. student in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics during the Fall 2023 term.
  • In Good Standing– Students must hold and maintain a minimum 80% average.  
  • Post-Program Maintenance - Students who are, or will be, in post-program maintenance (ie. have completed all formal credit hour degree requirements in the program and therefore register in GRST995AA, AB) are NOT eligible for these funds.
  • Required - Grad Thrive Plus 800AA must be completed by the end of the first semester in which a student begins their program, in order to be eligible. 
  • Employment – There is no restriction on employment while holding this scholarship.

  • Academic Performance, Research Ability, Participation in Departmental Activities

How to Apply:

  • Students fill out the "Scholarship Application Form" and supervisors fill out the "Letter of Support Form for Reference". Both forms should be emailed to mathstat@uregina.ca to arrive before the deadline. Please include the word "Scholarship" and the applicants name in the email subject line.

FGSR - Graduate Teaching Assistantship (GTA)

Description: Graduate Teaching Assistants assist with the instructional program of undergraduate courses or laboratories. The Graduate TA is funded through the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR).

Value: Salary in accordance with CUPE 2419 collective agreement - 120 hours per term (only approximately 60 hours of work will actually be required during the Fall 2019 or Winter 2020 terms)
