Heather Cote-Soop is from Cote First Nation, an Anishinaabe Nation located within Treaty Four Territory in Saskatchewan. She has Bachelor degrees in Indigenous Studies (Hons) and Psychology from First Nations University of Canada. She is currently enrolled in the thesis-based Masters of Adult Education and Community Engagement program at the University of Regina. Cote-Soop’s passion for community engagement and working with Indigenous communities is demonstrated through lifelong learning experiences as an employee, partner, and consultant serving Indigenous communities. She is interested in community-based research, ethics, and working with Elders. She serves on the Circle Project Inc. Board, and volunteers for community-based events including the Regina Oskana Cup minor hockey tournament, youth rodeos, and community healing Spirit Rides across North America.
