AWEI 300 AZ: Research Methods for Social Impact

Work with a local nonprofit - learn valuable skills and gain work experience!

Research Methods for Social Impact (AWEI 300 AZ) is an 3 credit undergraduate elective/internship opprtunity led by Dr. Lynn Gidluck and guest presenters associated with the Community Engagement and Research Centre (CERC).

To participate, students must meet the eligibility requirements of the Arts Work Experience Internship Program.

Participants will:

  • Attend a series of workshops between September and December 2022
  • Spend 100 hours during the semester doing research for a local nonprofit organization
  • Write a short reflective paper at the end of the semester about your experience

Enrollment is capped at twenty students. To submit an application, please include:

  • a cover letter expressing why you wish to participate in the program
  • a resume
  • a copy of your unofficial transcripts
