Awards

Kristy Joy Bergman was awarded the President's Medal at the Fall 2013 Convocation. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts honours degree with high honours in International Studies, with a concentration in International Affairs. This award is presented at convocation to a student receiving a first degree with a minimum average of 80 percent who has shown leadership in and commitment to extra-curricular activities. Bergman's average was 89.19 percent. She served as a peer chaplain at Luther College and was the coordinator of the Student Refugee Program for World University Services of Canada. She is currently doing volunteer work with a Roma community in Hungary. She is also the recipient of the University Prize in Arts.
