Students in the Arts Co-operative Education program alternate between semesters of full-time, paid employment and full-time study in their degree program. Co-op students do three work terms, with the option of taking on a fourth, and earn one academic credit hour for each work term completed. By the time they graduate, Arts Co-op students have gained 12-16 months of supervised work experience in an area directly related to their field of study!
Work placements are available within business, government, or community development organizations inside and outside of Regina, even overseas. Jobs Co-op students have held include: researcher, project officer, policy analyst, communications officer, technical writer, administrative assistant and teaching assistant.
Co-op Education programs are managed by the University of Regina Career Centre. You must apply for admission into the Arts Co-op program, and in order to be accepted you will need to meet the PGPA and minimum credit hour requirements. For general information about the program you can visit the Arts Co-op website.
