Please note: during July and August we have a handful of teachers offering lessons in piano, voice, and violin. Lessons for other instruments resume in September, though we continue to accept lesson placement requests.

Registration for fall lessons begins on July 17.

Strings

Drawing on years of experience with professional orchestras, Conservatory string instructors are passionate about sharing their craft with their students. Students are encouraged to play as soloists as well as part of small ensembles as they hone their technique and develop music skills.

Guitar

From the cool strumming of chords around a campfire to the classical finger picking technique, Conservatory guitar instructors have their students covered. With years of teaching experience behind them, Conservatory instructors help guitar students achieve their goals.

Brass and Winds

Many brass and woodwind students are involved in their school band program and find that private lessons help improve their technique, performance, and marks. Private instruction can also help students achieve their goals whether they are to perform a solo with the jazz band or perform for family and friends.

Percussion

Whether students are aiming to be the next best rock drummer or improve their skills in the percussion section of the school band, Conservatory instructors can help. Drummers of every level will benefit from the wisdom of experienced and qualified instructors.

Piano/Organ

Strong piano skills offer a fabulous musical foundation for every other instrument and Conservatory teachers offer the best in piano instruction to all students. Some instructors specialize in the Suzuki method where parent and child both attend the lesson while others specialize in child-only based methods.

Voice

The voice is the most personal of instruments and students have it with them 100% of the time. Conservatory instructors teach solid vocal technique and health as well as musicianship to singers with a variety of interests from opera to pop to sacred to classical to musical theatre.

Accompaniment

Singers and instrumentalists often need to work with a private coach/pianist when learning new repertoire or preparing for an important audition, concert, or exam. Conservatory accompanists are available to work with performers who preparing for a wide range of events.

Theory

Theory is the written language of music. Students study theory to gain better understanding of the music they play and to achieve certificates at various levels of performance.
