The University of Regina's Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is responsible for developing strategies, services, programming, and support for the enhancement of teaching practices and increased student success. CTL activities are informed by current research in teaching and learning in higher education, toward the goal of supporting faculty and instructors in taking up promising, evidence-based instructional practices in university courses and programs. A few of the current priorities for the CTL include support for improved technology integration, online and blended courses, teaching for inclusion, and Indigenizing curriculum and practice. For further details, please consult the CTL Strategic Plan[PDF].

While the CTL offers a number of centrally available workshops and programs, much of its work is dependent upon the formation and maintenance of its partnerships with academic and support units for the purpose of meeting the diverse and often discipline-specific needs of their faculty, students, and programs. Thus, the CTL aims to provide leadership in supporting academic excellence and to serve as an expert pedagogical resource across the University of Regina and its federated colleges. Thus, the primary focus of the CTL is to develop programming, services, and partnerships that empower academic staff to work toward teaching excellence with the goal of greatly enhancing learning experiences at the University of Regina.
