Centre for Teaching and Learning Announcement
The Associate Vice-President (Academic) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Kathryn Ricketts as Coordinator of the Centre for Teaching and Learning for a one-year term effective 1 September 2018.

Dr Ricketts is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education, University of Regina. She holds a PhD in Arts Education from Simon Fraser University. Her teaching and research have been in the areas of literacy, embodiment and cultural studies, movement, and visual arts. Over the past ten years, her academic and professional work has involved curriculum design, delivery, and assessment in a variety of ways from educational consultant to workshop and seminar leader to course instructor, and conference designer and coordinator. In 2017 Kathryn completed the full year UR Leading course which nurtured many leadership skills that will now be put into play.

Dr Ricketts served as a member of the CTL’s Teaching and Learning Advisory Group during 2014-18. She designed and (co)taught the Centre’s Graduate Student Teaching Development Certificate Program and the University Teaching Certificate Program in 2016-18. She is also scheduled to teach the two programs this Fall and Winter semester. Her other major contributions to teaching and learning at the University include designing and teaching “The Art and Science of Marking – TA Training” (2016); “The Anatomy of Best Teaching Practices”, New Faculty Orientation (2016 and 2017); and organizing and facilitating “Drawing to Learn Symposium” (2017). Dr Ricketts is excited to be taking on the responsibility of developing, facilitating and delivering vibrant services for the University community in the area of teaching and learning and looks forward to rich and productive collaborations and partnerships.
