Registration FAQ
1. How do I know which classes are available every semester?
Course schedules are posted on our website every semester. We also have a tentative schedule of the next two years.
2. How do I register for a course?
You can register online through UR Self-Service following the registration instructions.
3. How can I check if I am registered?
You can check to see if you are registered through UR Self-Service by following the confirmation instructions.
4. How do I drop a class?
You can drop a class through UR Self-Service by following the class drop instructions.
5. What is an online delivered course?

6. How do I register in practicum hours?
If you are ready to begin your practicum, please contact edgrad@uregina.ca for assistance.
7. How do I register in thesis/project hours?
- Meet with your supervisor to complete the Thesis Hours Activity Agreement
or the Project Hours Activity Agreement - Submit your completed form to edgrad@uregina.ca and await further registration instructions.
The purpose of the form is to document the activities you will complete to obtain credit from your faculty thesis supervisor for your thesis hours over the course of the term. This form must be completed and signed by both the student and faculty supervisor, and then returned to the Office of Research and Graduate Programs in Education, each term before registration in thesis hours will be permitted.
8. Do I need to register in 3 or 6 credit hours?
PhD students, International students, and students receiving funding who need to be full-time should choose 6.0 credit hours (full-time). Other students should choose 3.0 credit hours (part-time).
9. I have registered in 3.0 credit thesis hours. How do I change it to 6.0 credit hours?
In the add/drop/search for classes page in URselfservice, locate the 'class options'. There will be a drop down menu that will allow you to select 3.0 or 6.0 credit hours. Select the correct number of credit hours you need to be registered in. Click 'submit changes'.
10. I forgot my URselfservice PIN. How do I reset it?
