Dean's Message

As the Dean, I appreciate the distinctive character of this Faculty and the inestimable value of what it has to offer. When we claim that we offer academically excellent programs, we mean: Our faculty and staff are exceptional at what they do, and they hold each other and our students to the same standard.

Our motto Inspiring and Transforming Education expresses our commitment to making the world a better place for everyone through education, to contributing to improving the human condition, and to bettering our relationships with the planet we all share. We celebrate diversity and inclusivity and work for greater social justice—especially for those who are all too often denied justice through a lack of educational opportunity.
