Convocation, Graduation Photographs and Workshops

Application Process

In order to graduate, you must apply. An Application for Graduation can be found at the Registrar's Office.

  • If you complete your program in December, you must apply by November 30 in order to confer the following February.
  • If you complete your program in April, you must apply by January 31 to confer in May.
  • If you complete your program between May and August, you must apply by July 31 to confer in September.

Please submit a completed application to the Student Services Centre. Remember to submit an application for each faculty in which you are studying (e.g. If you are in the BEd/BKin program, you must submit an application for graduation to both the Faculties of Education and Kinesiology & Health Studies). We recommend that you apply when you register for your final semester of classes. If you have any questions while completing the form, please contact the office. Remember to provide your Social Insurance Number if you would like to receive the Saskatchewan Graduate Retention Program.

If program requirements have been met, applicants are recommended by the faculty for approval of graduation to Executive of Council.

Parchments are distributed at the ceremony. If you complete your program requirements in December or April, you will receive your parchment at Spring Convocation. If you complete your program requirements between May and August, you will receive your parchment at Fall Convocation.

If you are unable to attend the ceremony, please contact the Registrar's Office to arrange pick up or delivery of your parchment.

After you apply, remember to check UR Self-Service to confirm your account is clear. Your transcripts and parchment will not be released if you owe money to the University.
