Admissions
The Faculty of Education offers programs that lead to Bachelor of Education degrees, and Certificates for Teachers and Internationally Educated Teachers.
Our programs and degrees are approved by the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Professional Regulatory Board as meeting the requirements for Teacher Certification in the province of Saskatchewan.
Our Undergraduate Programs
- Applications are accepted year-round
- Begin studies in Spring/Summer, Fall or Winter
- One-on-one Academic Advising
- Options to earn a Bachelor of Education degree in a shorter time if you already have a Bachelor’s degree

Have you already graduated from High School and not attended any post-secondary institution after graduating from high school?
We can admit you using five of your high school courses below.
- English Language Arts A30*
- English Language Arts B30*
- Two courses from Category A (Maths & Sciences) or Category B (Languages & Social Sciences)
- One course from Category A (Maths & Sciences), Category B (Languages & Social Sciences), or Category C (Other Approved Courses)

Post-Secondary Transfer Admission: & Current/Returning U of R Students:
Require a 65% Admission grade point average required
Mature Admission
After-Degree Admission
Must have an approved first degree with a minimum UGPA of 65%.
Certificate for Internationally Educated Teachers
When applying online, you should select:
- Application Level: Undergraduate
- Application Types: Teacher Education Application
- Planned Course of Study: Certificate for Internationally Educated Teachers
Advanced Certificate in Education
When applying online, you should select:
- Application Level: Undergraduate
- Application Types: Teacher Education Application
