Requirements

 

High School Students:

Apply directly from high school

Admission Average: 65%

Post-Secondary Transfer Students:

Applicants who have attempted 15 credit hours or more of approved post secondary courses with a minimum Admissions Grade Point Average (AGPA) of 65% will be considered based on the most recent 30 credit hours of approved university courses.

 

Bachelor of Education After Degree Students

Applicants to the Bachelor of Education After Degree (BEAD) program must have an approved first degree with a minimum UGPA of 65.00%.
BEAD Elementary must have a minimum of 39 credit hours in at least three (9 credit hours) teaching areas supportive of provincial/territorial curricula.
BEAD Secondary must have a major in a teaching area with a minimum major GPA of 70%. A  minor teaching area is recommended.

English Language Proficiency

If you have not completed three years of formal, full-time English at a secondary school that is a recognized school or institution where English is primary language of instruction, or 24 credit hours (University of Regina degree level equivalent) in an approved English-language post-secondary institution, including at least 6 credit hours in humanities or social science subjects and with a minimum grade point average of 60% or equivalent, you will need to provide proof of English Language Proficiency.   • Conjoint Bachelor of Music Education/Bachelor of Music - Teacher Education Application**
  • Baccalauréat en education (le Bac) - Baccalauréat en education***
  • SUNTEP (Saskatchewan Urban Native Teacher Education Program) - complete the application form through Gabriel Dumont Institute. If you are selected for the program, you will be asked to fill out a University of Regina application as well.
*Applicants that meet the admission criteria will be asked to meet for an interview as part of the selection process.
** Applicants that meet the admission criteria will be required to successfully complete an audition and examination in music theory as part of the selection process. Applicants will be advised of their application status and asked to contact the Department of Music to register for the audition and theory exam.
*** French Language Proficiency is required.

2022 Fall First-Year Online cohort
