For many students, the transition from high school to university can be daunting, and often times overwhelming. Whether those students are embarking on this educational journey right out of high-school, after completing a previous degree or spending a number of years in the work force, our team of Academic Program Advisors are available to help you every step of the way.

Advising for new students may consist of group sessions or individualized appointments with a Faculty of Education Academic Program Advisor.

  • Faculty of Education Academic Program Advisors are available to meet with students to discuss:
  • Teacher Education Application Profile;
  • Course selection that aligns with the student's individual interests and aspirations;
  • Course sequencing and how transfer credit is used to meet program requirements; •Course registration and planning a balanced schedule;
  • University of Regina policies and procedures, as well as academic rules and regulations governing the student's program;
  • Strategies for academic success including returning to good academic standing when students are on or at risk of academic probation
  • Academic options surrounding personal/family emergencies;
  • Convocation application deadlines and processes;
  • Teacher Certification
  • Graduation
