Academic Indigenization Forum

The Academic Indigenization Forum is an Elder-led professional development conference at the University of Regina, bringing together multiple expert voices on Indigenization, and featuring a keynote, panels, and a breakout session.

With Elders, knowledge keepers, students, community members, and faculty, together we will seek answers to these questions:
* What exactly is meant by the concept of Indigenization and what methods can be used to apply Indigenization?
* What are the distinctions between Indigenization and decolonization?
* Who are Indigenous peoples, on local, national, and international levels?
* What are some practical approaches to Indigenizing teaching practices and learning spaces?

Register by email to the Indigenization.Office@uregina.ca by January 2, 2019 and please provide any food allergies. Spaces are limited. Both faculty and staff are welcome, with reserved seats for graduate students and community members. Early registration is encouraged. The detailed schedule will be made available shortly.
