Additive Manufacturing Workshop (Virtual)

Additive manufacturing (AM), also commonly known as 3D Printing, is a key component of the fourth industrial revolution. While mass adoption of AM by the industry is still a future, many businesses have started utilizing AM in their production system. As a part of professional development initiatives, the Industrial Systems Engineering program at the University of Regina is hosting this workshop to facilitate workforce training for the AM industry.
This virtual workshop will use the Zoom platform and require full-day participation. The workshop will start with an introduction to AM; hence anyone new to the field is encouraged to join. The focus will be on all seven categories of AM with their backgrounds, workflows, brief process physics, and commonly used materials. Participants will also learn different applications, where and how AM can be utilized.
