An Economic History of Indigenous North American and the Path to Economic Resurgence

In this public lecture Dr. Donna Feir will explore selected economic systems and forms of wealth that existed in pre-contact North America, what is known about the consequences of colonization for Indigenous economic systems and wealth, and the modern economic challenges and opportunities Indigenous nations are confronting.

Dr. Feir will also share her thoughts on what economists can contribute to the revitalization of Indigenous economies, reconciliation, and Indigenous resurgence.
