Art For Lunch: MFA Artist Talks

Ayesha Mohsin, Hooria Rajabzadeh & Sabine Wecker
Ayesha Mohsin is a Saskatchewan based artist, storyteller and playwright. She is the founder and Artistic Director of "Lexeme Theatre and Media Company". Ayesha's work has been published widely. She enjoys various mediums of storytelling, along with theatre she has also worked in Television, Radio and Print. She is currently pursuing an Interdisciplinary MFA in Film and Theatre.

Hooria Rajabzadeh is a photo-based artist from Iran. After experiencing some complex conditions as a woman in Iran, she was encouraged to make more work about women to expand others' perceptions about their conditions.

Sabine Wecker was raised in Germany where she was educated in the ceramic art. After a twenty-year break, Wecker dove back into clay at the University of Regina finishing a BFA in Visual Arts in 2021. Sabine's work focuses on the vessel as an abstract space holder.

Art For Lunch is a free speaker series presented by the Department of Visual Art and the Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance. Speakers are local, national, and international artists, arts administrators and curators. This fall, all Art For Lunch events will take place on Zoom.
