Art For Lunch with Hannah Doucet

Art For Lunch with Hannah Doucet, Co-Founder and Co-Organizer of Blinkers Art and Project Space.

Blinkers is a non-profit arts project space based in Winnipeg on Treaty 1 territory. Blinkers exists to exhibit, promote and create an engaged critical dialogue with the work of emerging and experimental practices from across Canada. In this talk, Hannah Doucet will discuss the founding and co-organizing of Blinkers. Sharing Blinkers programming, motivations, structure as well as future direction. Alongside presenting about Blinkers, Doucet will speak about her art practice and the relationship between running a project space and maintaining an active practice as an emerging artist.

Hannah Doucet is an artist, educator, arts organizer and administrator based between Winnipeg, on Treaty 1 Territory and Tkaronto. She is a co-founder and co-organizer of the emerging artist's space, Blinkers Art and Project Space, in downtown Winnipeg.

Art For Lunch is a free speaker series presented by the Department of Visual Art and the Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance. Speakers are local, national, and international artists, arts administrators and curators. This fall, all Art For Lunch events will take place on Zoom.
