Chinese Folk Music Workshop

Do you want to learn more about Chinese traditional music and instruments?
Do you want to have a hands-on experience playing Chinese instruments?
Do you want to have face to face communication with Chinese music experts?

Chinese Music is quite different than the music in the Western world in many aspects, such as its style, music notes, scales, as well as instruments. The Confucius Institute has invited five excellent Chinese folk musicians from Toronto to Regina to showcase five different traditional Chinese instruments: Erhu, Pipa, Guzheng(Zither), Yangqin(Chinese Harpsichord) and Sheng (Bamboo pipes). All five musicians graduated from the top Chinese Music Academies and were all taught by the national treasured masters in their own field in China. Please see their performance at:

Come join our Chinese Folk Music Workshop.
