Conferences - U of R Sponsored
The Conservatory of Performing Arts invites you to an afternoon of delightful string and orchestral music including performances by:
-Conservatory Youth Strings Program - this violin/cello group for ages 3-7 is a Suzuki based beginner program. After starting in Private Lessons, this program helps students learn how to play in unison as an ensemble while building community with other string families. This program is led by Joel MacDonald (cello), Karley Parovsky (violin), Rudolf Sternadel (violin), and Jon Ward (viola/violin). With accompaniment by Michael Dymund and musicianship by September Russell.
-Conservatory Youth String Orchestra - this next level up from our Youth Strings Program is for students with 2-3 years experience playing violin/cello. This orchestral program is where students start to play more intensive pieces in parts. Students are ages 8-12. This group is directed by Adrian Casas (violin/conductor).
-Conservatory Youth Orchestra with the Regina Community Orchestra - running concurrently in 2021-22, the Conservatory Youth Orchestra offers students ages 12-16 with only 2 years experience in orchestral brass/winds/strings the opportunity to learn alongside adult players in the Regina Community Orchestra. Both groups are non-audition based. Directed by Adrian Casas (violin/conductor).
