Conferences - U of R Sponsored
Presenter: Dr. Andrew Stevens
COVID hit workers hard from the beginning of the pandemic. Loss of employment, lockdown measures, COVID transmission in the workplace, supply chain disruptions, challenges with mental health, overwork, remote work, and extended family responsibilities came to define employment throughout the pandemic. But the effects were experienced unevenly across gender, race, and status. This session explores the impact COVID has had on labour markets and the world of work from a local and global perspective.
