Making Treaty 4 Collective Provoking: An Indigenous Approach to Creating Drama for Holistic Education

Presented by Erin Goodpipe, Benjamin Ironstand, Skyler Anderson, and Teddy Pete Kytwahat

This keynote presentation is free and open to the public as part of Provoking Curriculum Conference 2019, a biennial national conference hosting the boldest and most innovative scholars across the country.

The conference will address current work in curriculum studies in the form of papers and panels, poetry, arts informed, and performative pieces.

This presentation/performance will describe how the creation process of the Making Treaty 4 Collective is an Indigenous model of holistic education. There is a discussion about how we have gone through the creation process using "Indigenous Methodologies" and how the process has been beneficial and education for all involved despite having various backgrounds, academic focuses, and walks of life.
