Conferences - U of R Sponsored
We invite you to join Dr. Ana Karinna Hidalgo as she discusses studio-type learning in remote classes. Studio-type learning takes advantage of the learning-by-doing approach, design thinking, and individual development. This learning pedagogy's primary outcomes include individual growth in problem-solving and decision-making during the development of an academic project. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of projects, students also acquire a comprehensive and systematic understanding of a specific topic. Dr. Hidalgo will present an overview of the studio-type learning, pedagogical theories and approaches, the instructor and student's roles, and studio project or lesson design. Any academic field can take advantage of this learning approach.
The Centre for Teaching & Learning, in partnership with the Centre for Continuing Education, is facilitating the Welcome to My Remote Course speaker series, which features a number of faculty and instructors from across the university community sharing a glimpse into their course design and delivery. I’m pleased to announce that the following sessions are open for registration.
