Conferences - U of R Sponsored
The COVID-19 Pandemic has forced many people to be physically distant, but the phenomenon of social isolation has long been a concern for researchers of senior populations. During this talk, we will explore the ways that social isolation and loneliness affects the brain. We will also look at ways we can minimize these effects. While the pandemic has affected us all in new ways, the flood of mental health funding it has generated might provide the answers to how we can stop the changes in our brains caused by social isolation. Presented by Emilie Kossick. This presentation will be offered via Zoom. It is recommended that you have a laptop or tablet with a camera, microphone and high speed Wi-Fi connection to take this course.
