X / TEN: 2018 BFA Graduating Exhibition

On Saturday, March 17th the Bachelor of Fine Arts graduating class of the Media, Art
& Performance Program at the University of Regina will host the reception for their graduation
exhibition at the MacKenzie Art Gallery, in Regina, Saskatchewan. The reception, which will
include a program of speeches from students, instructors and dignitaries as well as a silent
auction, food and beverage station and exhibition catalogue launch, will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
This year's graduates comprise a variety of artwork in sculpting, ceramics, printmaking, painting,
drawing and installation practices. All of the work included in this show engages the public in an
intellectual dialogue of self-reflective perspectives, related individual expression and social
commentary. The exhibition, aptly titled TEN, rather the Roman numerical X, refers to the ten
emerging artists themselves who 'mark the spot' so to speak; whose voices, on the cusp of
engagement with the public at large, challenge and engage viewers on a number of important
