The Confucius Institute Dance Group would like to extend our cordial invitation to you to join us at our "Virtual Dance Club".

In the next two months, we will learn and practice a dynamic and unique dance, Bowl Dance, from the Mongolian ethnic group of China. To serve the milk tea from a bowl stacked on female hosts' heads is the Mongolian way to welcome guests for centuries. The movements of this dance embody and originate from this hospitable and enthusiastic custom of the Mongolian herders. Please view the dance we are going to learn by clicking the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1oy66aKKAjE

The Confucius Institute Dance Group is a fun, inclusive and diverse team that founded by the Confucius Institute at the University of Regina in 2017. Our members consist of campus community members as well as dance enthusiasts from the local community.

In response to social distancing protocol, we moved our regular training sessions every Friday evening from 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm online. If you like dancing, stretching, making friends and having fun, this workshop is the right place for you!

All levels of dancing skills are invited! Admissions are FREE!

To register for the Club, kindly email your name, preferred contact information and dance-related experience to Confucius.Institute@uregina.ca, and we will send you the proper Zoom details. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at the email provided above.

We look forward to seeing you there!
