University of Regina Dragon Boat Competition

The University of Regina and Faculty of Kinesiology & Health Studies have been invited to represent Canadian Universities and participate in an International University Dragon Boat competition that will be held in mid to late October 2019 in China. As such we are seeking applications from students (open to all undergraduate students in the Faculty and at the University) who would be interested and able to participate as a member of the team.

We are seeking a total of 14 athletes to be part of the Dragon Boat experience. To be considered for this unique and exciting opportunity, the following form needs to be completed and submitted https://forms.gle/PwscwWnju1kJ54Yg9.

Requirements:

  • Must be an undergraduate student at the University of Regina
  • Must be in good academic standing - academic reference and check will be required
  • Must have a passport valid with an expiry after April 2020
  • Must be able to swim 200 meters without a lifejacket
  • Practice with the team in Regina up to 3 days a week prior to departure
