Assistance

The quick start Libguides listed above are a great starting point. Many government publications are also listed in Quick Find or are available through the Canadian Research Index.

If you need additional help locating a specific government publication or information, please contact Kaetlyn Phillips by phone 306.337.2636 or by email at kaetlyn.phillips@uregina.ca.

Arrangement

Older government information resources and those that pertain to the workings of government, including Statutes for example, are shelved according to the CODOC system designed specifically for government information resources. Unique document numbers are assigned to each publication. This number indicates the publication's location on the shelf and provides additional information.

Other government information resources that have a specific subject focus are now shelved according to the LC (Library of Congress) classification scheme and are shelved with other materials in the same subject area.
