Dr. John Archer Library Open Access Resolution
The Dr. John Archer Library is committed to the principle of making scholarship and academic creative works freely and easily accessible to everyone. This paradigm is referred to as open access and it supports the mandate of oURspace, the University of Regina's institutional repository for scholarly literature, research results, official communications, and materials. oURspace defines the cultural context of the University of Regina, its faculty, researchers, staff, and students. The Library also makes open access journals easily accessible to the University of Regina community by including them in the library catalogue and our list of ejournals.
The University of Regina community is encouraged to seek out open access publishers and submit scholarly research to their publications (preferably peer-reviewed). Upon publisher acceptance and publication, a copy of the research, along with the appropriate bibliographic data, would be made available in oURspace.
