OER Drop-in Sessions

Open Educational Resources for Teaching

Starting in August 2020, the Open Educational Resource Program is planning to provide weekly open educational resources sessions to be co-hosted with the library. The purpose is to provide faculty with information and answers to questions on issues related to selection, adoption, creation and integration of open educational resources into the classroom.

Possible topics include but are not limited to:

  • Help finding OER in subject areas
  • Ideas for selecting appropriate OER
  • Ideas on creation of OER locally
  • Questions on the University of Regina’s Pressbooks platform

The sessions are planned to be an hour long once a week on Thursday afternoons from 2:00-3:00 pm and will be hosted through Zoom. The link is:

The sessions will be informal and be a launching pad for further conversations on open educational resources.

The University of Regina now has an instance of Pressbooks available for the selection, search, adaptation and creation of open educational resources. Some information will be provided in these sessions. More specific Pressbooks training will be provided formally beginning on Friday, October 16 at 1:00 pm.
