Mature / Transfer FAQs
1- Is this event for me?
Mature & Transfer Student Orientation is designed for students who are:
- Transferring to the University of Regina from another post-secondary institution
- Starting university for the first time – but have been out of high school for at least 6 months
- Unfamiliar with our campus and student services
- Feeling anxious about starting as a student at the University of Regina
Register online at www.uregina.ca/orientation (select the Mature/Transfer button)
or call the Student Success Centre at 306-585-4076 for assistance to register.
3- What Should I bring?
- A bag or backpack to carry any printed materials you gather during the event about
the services/supports available to you on campus - A pen and notepad to take notes on the information presented
- Wear comfortable shoes (if you wish to take a campus tour)
4- How much does it cost?
It is free of charge for all mature / transfer students.
5- How do I prepare?
Make a list of the questions you have at this time. Our program will allow opportunities for
students to ask questions – as well, we will have a number of Student Ambassadors and staff
members in attendance at the event who can assist you.
